The attrition isn’t sustainable, and the solution will involve something Congress isn’t willing to do at the moment. Kill the 1500 hr and go the MPL route like in parts of Europe. 250-500 hrs straight to A320/B737 sims and then fly the line.
The big 3 even aren’t meeting their staffing goals, dudes are leaving class at delta because they really wanted UAL or FedEx, and vice versa… it’s a lovely mess.
