Piedmont is a workhorse company. Min days off for 75hrs months of pay and 60hrs block time is the norm. QOL is rough compared to every other AA Wholly Owned airline and the equipment is older. Good crews to fly with for the most part- the majority of the unsafe and temperamental captains have retired or flowed to AA to become someone else’s problem. Management style from the DO is to presume guilt until you can prove your innocence, which trickles down to the CPs who aren’t using the job as a check in the box. Training department is good. Pay is always messed up for somebody, scheduling and dispatch are under staffed and under paid. Interactions with the ground and gate staff ranges from awesome to awful and usually leans towards the later in the hubs. Piedmont is a better place to be from than be at, as DAL and UAL will want to hire you but AA won’t.
