And what are you going to do when United has an operational meltdown? I wouldn’t make such long term decisions based off of a few days of poor weather event recovery. Everyone gets their turn in this business I’m afraid.
With that said, SWA is going to need to do what Spirit had to some months back. A hard reset. 2000+ flights cancelled today and counting. There’s no recovering from that. Need to stop and restart the airline at this point. Good luck to everyone stuck out there trying to get home, or even into a hotel room.
Bologna. This meltdown is like nothing I’ve seen in 24 years of 121. They have literally lost operational control of the airline.
The concerning part is that this has been cumulative and building. They’re too arrogant in DAL to realize just how inept they are. That is the concerning part of this, not the meltdown in particular but rather the trajectory of this company.
