My uncle kept getting hit with the SSSS. It didn't help his mom moved his family to Canada and somehow renounced their US citizenship and he had to deal with immigration attorney to fix it as a college student in the 80s. Plus he has a middle eastern last name. He ended up on some list after 9/11 even though he had been a government employee and did consulting work for the DoD for years. He had to go through some process to get off whatever list DHS/TSA put him on. I know he contacted his congressman's office too. He was a frequent flyer and kept getting hit with SSSS. He still gets it more than anyone else I've heard of, but it's a lot less often now.
