I agree with you that the guy shouldn't base his decision of UAL vs SWA on this once meltdown. But if he has the opportunity to go to UAL and lives in DEN, why on earth would he choose SWA? Seniority loss would be kept to an absolute minimum and he'd have a much higher career potential.
