Bring MEC chair out of the dark back rooms of the union halls and have it be a system wide vote by all migs. Totally agree. There needs to be way more transparency and constituent engagement. No more “oh by the way the meeting is in two weeks an hour and a half from the airport” after bidding has closed. Zoom attendance should be allowed. No more “we voted on an AIP that you guys didn’t even get a bullet point briefing on”. No “We’re going to elect a new MEC chair behind closed doors with a weeks notice” nonsense.
