No one can tell another pilot whether he should leave AE for Compass. That's a decision you will have to make yourself. However, you should note the following facts: if you move to Compass, you will be at the bottom of the seniority list and have to go through another training. In today's climate, that may not be a good choice. Also, as pointed out here by another, if NWA starts to furlough pilots, NWA pilots can flow down to Compass and you could be the first one to find yourself on the street. Compass does not have the protection that Mesaba pilots have and that is at Compass every pilot can be replaced with NWA pilots, whereas at Mesaba only the same number of pilots who have flowed up can flow down, and so far only 9 pilots from Mesaba have flowed up to NWA.
