Default From the LIDO Route Manual ...

From LIDO ABBREVIATIONS:

ALS = Approach lighting system

or

ALS = Automatic landing system

and

U/S = Unservicable

In the context where you found it, the logical interpretation is "Approach lighting system Unservicable". I'm sure you'll notice the visibility values are higher than the same equipment (LLZ/DME RAD) with the Approach lighting system Servicable.

One tip that you should always keep in mind when using LIDO products is that they are "ICAO-centric." In their world, the US is an exception. There's LIDO, and then there are the U.S. differences. With Jeppesen, it was quite the opposite. With Jeppesen, the world revolves around the U.S., and everything outside of the U.S. is an exception to the norm.

That said, the LIDO product is outstanding. You should become familiar with the ABB (Abbreviations) and LAT (Legends and Tables) "chapters" of the General Information Section of the Route manual -- or at least know where to find them to look up questions like the one you asked here.
