There is line of thinking in marketing that says there is no such thing as "bad press", as "bad press" is better than "no press".

Maybe when somebody reads a story about the flight from DEN-BWI being cancelled for 5 straight days, they will think " Wow, I didn't even know SWA flew BWI-DEN nonstop". I'll have to look into that for our Feb ski trip to Keystone.
