In an effort to assist the ALPA pilots at these carriers, we have asked our management to provide jumpseat privileges on Continental Airlines for all Aloha, ATA and Champion pilots for 30 days after cessation of operations by their carriers. Additionally, we have asked that Continental provide preferential hiring opportunities to qualified pilots from these carriers, when hiring once again commences.

I especially like this part. I think it is great that CAL is helping these pilots out. I also think it is great that the CAL MEC is specifically mentioning ALPA pilots... I don't think Skybus pilots are going to get the same courtesy when they go out of business!
