These flights will be conducted within the lower 48 and a possible leg to Hawaii. There is no talk of international flights. Amazon for our situation is North America (US) only.
There will be no need to augment the flights. We will be operating closer to ATI ops.
from what I understand Amazon is leaning towards having bunks as they are easier to put in during the cargo conversion than to retrofit later. Not that Hawaiian will need them for the planned initial route structure, but for possible future routes.
it will be under 117 rules. CVG will be the initial base. There will be gateway cities with long call reserve. If the pairing does not start in CVG the company will positive space you from your gateway city to where the aircraft is. If the last leg is not in CVG you will be positive spaces to you gateway city at the end of the pairing. If the pairing starts/ends in CVG you are on your own getting to and from your base. There’s a lot of unknowns as Amazon hasn’t given Hawaiian any sort of flying schedule. It will be domestic and hawaii to start with. The vacancy bid for the initial cadre closes on Jan 3rd. With expected start of service sept./Oct. The initial 787 cadre was also on the same vacancy bid.
