Massive, MASSIVE thread drift..........

........sure, airline flying can be boring AF.

But if one is the type to get to the airlines and expect excitement/adventure, then they need to SERIOUSLY need to reexamine where they reap excitement/adventure from.

Seriously, it's one of the easiest jobs on the face of the planet for a decent sized check that clears twice a month.

Find time for the pursuits/hobbies you never had time for while in the military, build friendships/relationships you never had time for in the military.

I seriously feel sorry for the guys that make flying such a big part of their indentity/purpose in life that before they know it, their wife has left them, their kids don't talk to them, they won't even know their grandkids......

There never was a repo.
pfffffft, true OG's did it back in the day when reserve wasn't considered duty.

Sit 12 hours airport standby, THEN get called for a 8-10 hour duty period that turns into 12-14 ACTUAL DUTY.
