i would think AR would want to take the high road, show the NMB how unreasonable management is as opposed to getting into a tit for tat with them. we should be seen as the professional party - unfortunately the teamsters don't necessarily have that reputation as a professional buttoned up pilots union. maybe the NMB doesn't care at all about all this, what do i know. but i hope AR talks to somebody who is plugged in with the NMB and how they think about this stuff before he does something as drastic as refusing to meet for seciton 6 negotiations.
AR is not stopping negotiations, he never said that was his intention. AR is only going to negotiate during Scheduled session set out by the NMB with a Mediator present. You seem to be very plugged in to MG, SS, and GA’s world, but it was MG who made the misstep this time. AR isn’t going to **** off the NMB, he’s just going to let them be in charge of the schedule and let the company hang out to dry while they wait.
