I was in this exact situation a year ago. My published availability was 11 Apr so I was obviously trying hard to get in the 12 Apr class. I interviewed first week of Feb and got a CJO the next day with a seat in the 8 Mar class. Emailed them back to say I couldn't make that one and they said "no problem, we'll reach out when that opens up." On 14 Mar I got another email offering me a spot in the 12 Apr class like I'd hoped.
