Congrats on the job offer. Very slim chance you would ever make WB CA at American. 1,000 WB CAs out of 15,000 pilots (> 4k pilots on property with at least 20 years until retirement). Domestic QOL is bad and most see WB as the way out of the domestic purgatory. The unfortunate part is our WB international flying has been shrinking for a couple years now. We are seeing more and more domestic turns on the 777/787.

Your seniority progression might be a little better but that would just mean you are sitting a little more senior as narrow body CA. Even our senior NB CAs are complaining about getting stuck with 4-5 day trips every month. As a result many are bidding WB FO and driving up the seniority in that status.

QOL is pretty bad at AA under the present contract and management team. Think giant regional. In my opinion you would be crazy to not pick United. But I’ve been accused of being too negative on AA, so take that with a grain of salt. Good luck.
