Yup. 70% of the pilots weren’t willing to forgo raises, real LTD, tighter scope, a true DC, better rigs, and more; just to make sure a handful of pilots could continue to checkerboard their schedules to double dip on JRM. Guys check boarding created reserve grids that were red so that line holders who have been here for 15 years couldn’t drop a trip because of red grids created by reserve drops. So let’s not act like reserve pilots doing this, did themselves or other reserve pilots any favors

I don’t like we lost all reserve drops but anyone who was here knows the company proudly showed the abuses to the mediator, who agreed with the company’s request for no drops at all.

The NC pushed for drops again this TA but with an airline that can’t staff their FO side, it was no surprise that they were once again against drops.

If reserve guys need time off, call in sick. It’s 4 hours per sick call, even if assigned a trip, 4 hours per day.
