Assigned seats would solve many problems.

Turns would be faster, no spinning for seats and bags, there would be no “what seat am I” questions, priority pax would get on earlier, fewer fake wheelchairs, problem pax and medical emergencies would be identified by seat number, better bag matching when you have to check carry-ons, and so much more.

I’m actually surprised TSA and FAA let us get by without being able to identify pax by seat. I’ve had unruly people get off the plane and walk past CSRs and LE without identifying themselves because they really don’t have to.

Not to mention, it would help to alleviate some of the death-by-PA.
