While I agree with a lot of the sentiment in your rant, I do think you are a bit flippantly dismissing the legitimate gripes of some of your co-workers - many of whom came to the airline with the exact same list of pros/cons as you have, but then have watched the company do a 180 on them in many of those areas.

I would love to be home with my wife more. And I was, until the company closed my base, forced me to commute, and then decided to make every trip uncommutable.

Things are always really black and white to people who are in the midst of a “high”.
