Depends on the stance/strength of the union leaders, the education of the pilot group, and the will of both sides to take it through summer. One side typically capitulates a lot easier than the other (see this TA for a recent example), so discussing impossible hypotheticals is moot. Until B6ALPA and its pilots take a stand (which to this day, they haven’t), no…they won’t just give PS back. But if B6ALPA decided to grow a set tomorrow, come out and say no—this isn’t enough and PS is a line in the sand—and sold that as hard as they sell their TAs, then yeah, I think PS is attainable. It wouldn’t be easy, probably not quick, but probably achievable within a year if the proper levers were pulled and leverage used (labor dispute, pickets, strike vote, etc). The current union doesn’t seem to recognize leverage or like to pull levers though. Especially under Chris Kenney.
