I know seniority is everything but you are really okay with working your *** off for the lowest pay scale in the company just so you can maybe swap into a better trip on occasion? I needs to rant. I had my dream scheduled all mapped out and I’m 40%. Just had my hopes and dreams crushed by right seat NB “lifers” and now I want answers lol (kidding but not really)!
Edit: I’m referring to the swap board. First PCS run today got me all messed up
Good grief... The entitlement is strong with this one.
"B..b..b..b..b..but seniority isn't faaaiiirrr"

Hardly.
I would put my hours worked versus pay received up against anyone's, any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. And pay has hardly been mediocre. You or anyone else wants to make yourself junior with an upgrade for more money, or to be able to say "LOOK at my fourth stripe," have at it. I will take my QOL any day. Any vacation desired (pretty much don't work July or August). Any days off. Any holiday off. All weekends off. Most any trip desired. First choice at GS. You're right. Should give all that up to get out of your way. Not.
Or maybe some were stuck in the bottom 10% of the seniority list for 13+ years, and are now enjoying the benefits of seniority that they can finally hold (which under typical circumstances should have been attainable 10 years ago). But many of you have no concept of that, as you have seen nothing but good times, pay raises, super-rapid seniority increases, and 6 month (or less) captain upgrades since hired.
But let me go change my bid preferences so I can get out of your way.
Better yet, I think I will stay put for now so I can "crush your hopes and dreams" as a NB lifer.
