How hard is it to get hired into MCO?
What is the flight schedule like ( Out and back or multi day trips? Overnights and weekends?)
How many flight hours are new FO' able to get in an average month?
Is there a training contract?
How long is the initial training footprint?
How long does it take to upgrade if you come in with 1500hrs?
How is the employee/company culture?
Can you drop or pick up trips?
Is there overtime/extra days available?
What's the best way to reach out to someone currently flying out of MCO.
Thanks in advance to anyone on the inside for assistance.
MCO should be available pretty soon. Not sure about the newer bases, but FO’s roughly fly 30-60 hours a month. Initial training is about 30 days with no training contract. Picking up days is typically pretty hard. Culture is currently shifting, not sure if it’s for the better or worse. There have been some pretty major changes that definitely set the wrong tone. No one is MCO based yet so no one you could really reach out to as far as MCO ops but current DAL crews are flying in and out of MCO so they would probably know best.
