So the question is where is F9s biggest short coming currently? Is it gate space, pilots, rampers, gate agents?

Just based on experience it seems rampers and gate agents are most of my flights weak spots. We get to the airport 20 before arrival just to sit there waiting for a stamp crew at an open gate. Then we park at the gate to just sit there and wait for a gate agent to pull up the jet bridge. And then as a result the next flight is delayed and the pain continues.

Gate space is certainly a long term issue but the rumored future bases at Cleveland and CVG have more than enough gate space to accommodate some growth. Don’t so much like the ground gates in Denver but we are getting more gates there. Lots of variables in the other cities. How’s the expansion in Orlando with their new terminal free up gate space?

It’s not as much attraction of pilots to F9 it’s more of a retention issue. We currently hire way more than we need to support our growth but we need to find ways to keep them and basically everybody at F9 knows what we will have to do. It’s just a matter of them coming to the bargaining table before it’s too late.
