Frontier knows they deliver poor service and they have constructed their entire business model around failures that would otherwise harm the legacies. Sales continue, because, “What do you expect for a $20 ticket?” That’s what pax expect and that’s what F9 happily delivers. Kirby isn’t considering this in his comments. As long as F9 doesn’t kill people, there will always be demand for their service.
This is definitely true, but I think that our operation really isn't that bad. Obviously it's not a well oiled machine, but its not that far off from what the other airlines are doing.
Southwest, JetBlue and Spirit run a crap operation too. I flew on United during Christmas with the fam, and they canceled two of our flights, the 3rd was 3+ hours late, had broken wifi and the plane hadn't been catered so it had very limited food/ drink. And then we waited 1.5 hours for our bags. Not exactly impressive service for the huge price premium we paid
