Anyone suggesting that “only a few bad eggs” may/may not have ruined KCM are missing the point.

No group of 100,000-200,000 people will follow rules/procedures with 100% perfection. Mistakes happen, bad actors exist.

This system (along with regular “normie” screening) assumes forbidden things get through ON A REGULAR BASIS. Daily, even. It’s just a deterrent, not a fine meshed sieve. A compromise between perfect security and the cost prohibitive realities of the huge numbers of people who would be needed to procto-scope everyone like a maximum security prison inmate.

Something changed. Maybe drug trafficking, maybe something else. We’ll never know.

Vote, call your congressman, back the PAC, rub your belly and pat your head at the same time if it makes you feel better. But if the non-elected head of the DOT or the elected head of the executive wants it gone, KCM is going to be deader than disco.
