You're not wrong... I've been consistently astonished by the number of CA's I've flown with who *need* over $20k of take-home pay monthly just to survive. The fiscal incompetence required to get there is astonishing, yet here we are.
I have flown with maybe 2 CAs in the last 3 years who "fly their line", not doing much with open time or trading. 2. Out of hundreds, just 2. Yes they're leaving thousands on the table by not fiddling with their schedule, but seriously... Just 2? Amazing.
