The increase in headcount is partially due to previous plans, partially due to another 700 pilots required by C19.
something tells me co is waiting to see our vote. What’s in that TA that doesn’t require ~2400 pilots in 2023? That’s the question. Previous publish by ops was ~200/mth through around may (summer hiring), then drop to ~100/month rest of year. That’s around the 1700 number, but no one has put out a jobs required list since then. Something tells me the company is hoping we sign the TA and drop hiring requirement but time will tell. Reading the TA over next week to try and decipher why this is not public yet. Union says TA adds 700 jobs but that was just bullet points on pre-TA hopes and dreams…
edit: last time this happened in 2015 summer and it screwed a lot of new hires from “class in 1 month” to class actually in “9 months”. Different situation, but still seems to indicate company awaiting signing of MEMRAT
