Yeah I'm not sure what he means when he says guarantee day trips. All you can do is have a higher min pay per day based on the length of the trip, or some type of graduated tafb rig. A guarantee doesn't really mean anything without some type of financial incentive.
Union proposed a min % of day trips as part of the contract. that is how you get the guarantee. Union is obviously aware of this and working to get it in the contract (from what I'm hearing, this is a line in the sand for some on the NC and E Board).
