The MEC has the poll results, heck there’s at least one dude that emailed half the crew force with his opposition because he wasn’t ready. By doing a little reading between the lines of the SPSC email, it appears that the union is shifting gears from negotiating to planning for an impasse since there are no more scheduled mediation meetings. I believe that we will see the prepared strike vote education campaign beginning as soon as an impasse becomes official. The union leaders said at the joint council meeting that it’s ready to go, but that it wasn’t time to start the campaign. If we are at impasse with the company then NOW IS THE TIME.
