All planned hiring for NWA already took the retirement of the dc9s in to account. Well all except for the last bunch of cuts(17 planes). NWA planned on hiring 350ish this year but will end with around 200 hired. So even with parking some of the planes the staffing at NWA should be fine. There probably will be some displacements from DC9 CA though.
Well I certainly that hope that if we are going to merge anyway that the two MEC's work it out and come to an agreement that is fair to both Pilot groups. Time will tell.
