There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight to CA and senior FO attrition. They already took the “nuclear” option and forced everyone eligible to upgrade. CA attrition will probably outpace any new upgrades by a factor of 2-3.
There is just not much need for new FOs.
I guess the only saving grace is that many FOs also bail for “fun liveries”. Otherwise there would be even less hiring.
