Not a BOS commuter but fly with a lot. Another option especially on weather days is Amtrak. Not sure the cost and if they do this anymore. But if in uniform sometimes conductor wouldn’t (supposedly) take your ticket. With Air Tran right at EWR it’s easy to get from airport to Newark - or NY Penn Station (not sure of cost) on NJ Transit or picked up directly at EWR by Amtrak. Probably faster than flying l on a weather day.
