At B6 if you don't mind reserve, you can have a very good quality of life with not a whole lot of seniority. I intentionally bid it for this reason other than summer time (too busy, get called everyday, more days at home w/line). You will sacrifice pay, and a few days off on your schedule, but you will ultimately spend a lot more time at home. The reason I got into flying (worklife balance, time off) is exactly what I'm getting now, maybe better than I envisioned. Unlike some other carriers once you get a trip as a reserve you are considered a line holder as far as reassignment protection, and B6 has some of the best, if not the best reassignment protection.
