It would be “beyond ridiculous” if I took the jump seat so a company non rev could get on while a Delta guy was trying to Jumpseat. I’d be tarred and feathered by my pilot group. Also, I wish I could list a head of time on Delta. Running to the gate hoping the agent isn’t too busy and in a good mood is harder than saying “I’m already listed”. Why are you assuming there aren't other Delta pilots trying to get on in addition to the one already listed in the JS? Why should a Delta pilot bump a commuting FA or a pilot's spouse just so a pilot who doesn't even work for the airline gets a seat? I'm sorry, that's just the way the world works. We will do everything (some of us better than others) to get every nonrev/JS on but the priority will always be Delta first before OAL.
