I'm aspiring to return to airlines after a long hiatus. NoVA area. Been talking to two local UAL pilots living here in domicile for DCA/IAD:,
- one is a long-time friend who is a NB CA (bus). For reserve, he thinks there are enough in-domicile pilots who live on the MD side of DC who keep BWI covered, so if you live on the Virginia side expect 70/30 IAD/DCA, with BWI only a few trips a year.
- the other is a 737 FO more than senior enough to hold NB CA, but instead is about to upgrade equipment to 757FO. His sentiments were exactly above. (staying on Boeing equipment is gravy)
