I can guarantee that. It happened to me.

Fired FA. Still in CASS. Gate agent didn't check the ID. No one did. Got the FA jumpseat on my aircraft.

Got a call from CPO a few days later. "Hey Capt X, we need to come in and have a talk". That's never a good thing, and yes, I physically had to be there.

Again, I don't care what you do as a captain. Your jet, your crew, your ticket. I have mitigations in place now as a reutls of what has happened to me in the past. Lesson learned an all that.
Maybe 20 years ago this was the case. TODAY the captain does not have to verify anything about the FA jump seater. There is no CASS for FAs... You know what the C in CASS stands for right?

If a chief pilot wants me to come in for a 10 minute chat it would cost them 5:15 per the new TA and I guarantee they would not do that.
