I did graduate college but my grades were poor. My transcript shows that I just skated by until my senior year when I had an oh crap moment and kicked it into gear and made straight A’s. When asked about my academic performance I was honest. I told them it was due to a lack of maturity at the time and that once I realized that I needed to grow up, the damage to my GPA was done. I pointed out my senior year grades, multiple type ratings, and a flawless airline training record as proof that the lesson was learned and that it stuck. Evidently my explanation was satisfactory since I was offered the job. Just be honest, sincere, and own your mistakes and you should be fine.
