I don’t quite understand the Global Reserve rules, but it seems like that would be awful as a commuter? Since your days off can change quite a bit?
I’ve read that the seat lock may be able to be broken by bidding MCO or LAS, but that’s not going to be a guarantee that they’d be available.
I’ve got an app in, competitive hours/resume, and hoping for a call/email soon, but want to be realistic with my spouse about first year or two expectations.
It all depends on the class makeup, but I would think 35 would be able to avoid the 777 SFO. In my class, 35 was dead middle.
The LAS/MCO escape hatch will be closing soon (6 months from first available). If you don’t already have a class, I wouldn’t plan on that being a lifeline. Even if you do already have a class, I don’t know that there will be another vacancy before that window closes.
