Really debating between 765, 7ER. Ideally I want ATL as a base. I’ve heard the ER flying there is a bunch of Florida runs but I will be living in Florida so that could offer more overnights at home. But I hear NYC offers the best flying in the system on the ER. Not sure what 765 has out there but I assume all international. I’ve been blessed with a SSN starting with 9 so trying to really figure this one out.
Unsolicited advice follows from a LCP that has done OEs for over 20 years: At some point, pleeeeease go fly domestic. If you are a long time international FO, your flying skills WILL deteriorate to the point that frankly... you suck as a pilot. I know you don't believe that, but I have seen the results of that over and over. When you upgrade after a long time in the right seat, your decision making skills have atrophied right along with those flying skills. If you choose the 765, go into it knowing that what I am speaking is the truth. If you go to the ER, you will have to opportunity to go fly both international to some really good destinations (eventually) and get lots of reps on the 757 (which is a really fun airplane to fly.)
