Sounds like he lives near MIA. Gosh that’s a lot of seniority to give up, but driving 3 hours to MCO to sit reserve (what in your car?) just sounds awful. He’ll be sitting reserve by his pool now, and be Captain again in a couple years. Or maybe go into “early retirement” on the wide body. Either way hope it turns out to be the right decision for this guy. I hope I never have to make a tough choice like that after 16+ years.
