That all said timing is everything. I punched out of the airlines for the lost decade. Some went to allegiant and stayed because they hit the timing right. Don’t blame them for staying. It’s a great job for some. It isn’t for **** if you are in the bottom bracket of seniority. I was hired at allegiant in 2020. Sticking around would have been asinine considering how much movement there is right now at the legacies.
timing is everything. The airline marg works for is not the same airline as greyhound.
oh and I’ll take the bet on Mexico. No way that happens.
Totally. If I was a junior FO commuting or being TDYed every single time there's a TDY it would be silly to not try to jump elsewhere where you can build seniority fast. But for many of us that are closer to a decade and FIIIINALLY settled somewhere it's a bit tough to just pull the plug because morale is low and there's uncertainty about certain current circumstances. So for now, many of us (I'm) are being patient and not ready to call it quits, go back to commuting or at some point pick up and move for the 20th time.
As far as the Mexico thing, I sure a hell hope it doesn't happen. But under the current Secretary of Transportation I'm not holding my breath when the moron is botching literally every single crisis and difficult issue.
