You never know what can happen. Right now I’m content making 1/4 plus mill a year, being home every night, making all of my kids events, taking vacation the 4 weeks that I want them etc. If Allegiant goes under, no regrets here, I will have spent the prime of my life being home every night which is rare in this industry. My wife and I will figure it out from there but we have enough saved/invested that I am not losing any sleep over it.
I believe that wealth also has to do with time, not just money.
I’m happy for you comrade. The way I look at pay and work is how long am I away from home - from the time I leave the doorstep to the time I get back. That includes commuter time. Take every hour away from home and then apply how much you earn in pay, that is your hourly compensation for the day/week/month.
