Hubris is a core part of it. There’s an attitude at Delta that we’re better than everyone else, no matter what. If we do something differently it’s because the other airlines are doing it the wrong way.

Frankly it’s a bad corporate mindset to settle into. It breeds complacency and eventually mediocrity.
