Everyone’s story is different and it’s up to the Airlines discretion to hire the individual based on his current character and integrity. it’s also necessary to hire someone that can actually do the job. Not all countries have bought into the “we gotta give the poor rehabilitated felons a chance” argument, including our neighbor to the north. If an airline flies into Canada, they need to deal with entry requirements there. Even an elderly DUI Conviction may disqualify you from entry as will ANY felony conviction. And that’s a felony (or even serious misdemeanor) according to THEIR laws, not ours, and they have access to even sealed criminal records since criminal database sharing after 911. Most companies that fly ANY international flights will always prefer someone with a clean record.
