Years ago, I had an insurance company try to get $15K from me. It sounded like they might have a case, but I asked a lawyer. He was like a bull dog and said they had nothing. One phone call from him and I never heard from the insurance company again. The lawyer billed me $400 and I was happy to pay. A good lawyer can tell you in 5 seconds if it's worth your time.
