It doesn't hurt to speak with a contract lawyer, or any lawyer for that matter. A good lawyer will let you know if it's worth your time and money to pursue. Years ago, I had an insurance company try to get $15K from me. It sounded like they might have a case, but I asked a lawyer. He was like a bull dog and said they had nothing. One phone call from him and I never heard from the insurance company again. The lawyer billed me $400 and I was happy to pay. A good lawyer can tell you in 5 seconds if it's worth your time.
