Right. Live in base at UAL and drive to work or spend a career commuting to DAL so I could earn a little more money for a few more months to a year (hopefully not that long). Personally, I think the judgement of anyone choosing an airline solely on a shinier contract during a pattern bargaining cycle is the one who needs to have their judgement seriously questioned. This would be a matter of choosing between UAL and DAL. Not GoJet and DAL.
Big decisions always need to be made based on thought and logic. Not knee jerk emotion.
Better pay, better work rules, better retirement, however, I’m told UAL may have better flight plans. Do the math, over the course of a career a new pilot is money ahead at DAL.
Maybe that will change, we’ll see
