JL was very ho hum about the potential A350-1000 yesterday on the town hall. Our contract is done and signed so I don’t think that’s what was holding the company up. There has been some speculation about pricing, particularly from RR. But Airbus just booked orders from Air India and Lufthansa so they probably aren’t hard pressed to sell them at a loss to us.
With Qatar taking their A350 orders again and Air India making that large order, I think the A350 possability "deal" has cooled down. Delta rarely likes paying high prices, and with Airbus selling a lot of them lately, I doubt they are giving any deals on them now. Also, there might not be production slots when we want/need them either.
