There is no doubt orders will be coming down the line, the oldest 763s are well over 30, and their replacements are probably 330s. That’s more top paying jets for us. 45 of those have to get replaced in the 2025-2030 window just going off the past.
For reference, 6 new build 339s come this year, plus the remainder (7?) 359s. Next year it’s 9 339s and 7 new 359s. Final 3 339s come in 2025, prime to get an order for more to replace those 763s above, I’d say. With this new TA, we have the most top paying aircraft in recent memory, and that only grows each year.
Focusing on Qatar etc is a red herring, those tails were wrapped up in a dispute, I very much doubt it was those we were interested in. Any future orders wouldn’t make sense until 2025+ so we have plenty of time. Airbus is looking to increase 330 and 350 rates too.
