Nothing is a guarantee you will ever get hired at United off the street.

Aviate was meant to give everyone an equal chance into going into United. Not just those with a super stellar background. It gives those who had checkride fails at thier initial airline or whatever a chance. Much how like Mesa gives everyone a second chance at a career.

If you are a line check airman, training department experience, never failed a checkride, have multiple jet type ratings, then yeah. Maybe aviate isn't for you, and you should apply off the street.

Aviate suits some, but not all. If you think you can get into United with a stellar background, drop aviate and apply OTS.

If you had a bad start at your 121 career, such as washing out of an airline before Mesa, and you never failed anything since then, and had a clean 4-5 year background, aviate is for you.
