That's exactly the wrong mindset. It's an "us vs them" issue that ignores that most of the pilots at the WO will spend most of their careers at AA vs their time at their WO. WO pilots would prefer to make more money and have better quality of life rules over the course of their career at AA vs their time at their WO. Some of this regional pilot shortage 'power' could have been applied to AA/APA if APA would have had the foresight to work with WO unions. Instead, when WO union leaders reached out to APA they got "Who cares what the WOs do or think?". The result? We got WO pilots making more than Group 4 captains at AA and APA still grasping for a new contract.
