We somehow managed to hire 39 in 2 months, I can't imagine that will continue at the lowest paid 320/737 airline that is shrinking.
Pilots will continue to come here for the type rating, foreign visas, military connection, lack of other offers, or because they live in PVU, ATW, ABE, etc. Attrition will continue but so will hiring. To only look at the pilots leaving without counting the pilots that are being hired and backfilling those positions doesn't make any sense.

From what i'm hearing, the union leaders are pretty disappointed and incredulous that so many pilots are staying. I understand it helps us to have sky high attrition, but i don't think that wave of attrition is coming and neither does the union.

Don't believe everything you hear, trust people's actions more than their words. we haven't had a single union rep leave and we have a VERY young group of union leaders. most have 30+ years left of flying before they retire and they are sticking it out. I think that fact more than anything the company spins/lies or the doomsaying from the union is what makes me cautiously optimistic that we are gonna get a good deal done and that maybe its not as far out as we are being led to believe.
